
Acer have launched their new Aspire X1200 Compact HD Entertainment Center Mini PC which has been designed from the outset to be ‘an appealing, easy to use media hub for making the most of entertainment’ and which comes in a series of three models – namely the Aspire X1200-U1510A , Aspire X1200-U1520A and the Aspire X1200-B1581A – offering AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 4850e and X2 Dual Core 5000+ processors and on-board Nvidia GeForce 8200 graphics with PureVideo HD Technology.
The highly compact and not unattractive high gloss finished Aspire X1200 measures in at a ‘front room friendly’ 10.6”(H) x 4.0” (W) x 14.4”(L), comes supplied with Windows Vista Premium 64 pre-installed and, apart from sporting HDMI connectivity, a 14-in-1 card reader and a SuperMulti Double-layer optical drive comes in the following flavours.

The Asus Aspire X1200-U1520A and Aspire X1200-U1510A are both available now for around $500 and $460 respectively whilst the Acer Aspire X1200-B1581A is set for release from July 13 and will retail for just shy of $700.
