Viewsonic Intro 26” VA2626wm 1080p HD LCD Monitor with SRS WOW HD Sound [Low Price HD Display]

Viewsonic have announced their new ‘affordable, feature-rich’ VA2626wm 1080p Full HD LCD Monitor sporting 26” display which, according to Viewsonic’s press release, is aimed squarely at movie buffs and gamers and comes with HDMI, VGA and DVI with HDCP compatibility as well as dual 2.5 watt speakers delivering SRS WOW HD stereo sound.

‘We are committed to continuously expanding our display offerings and aim to exceed customer expectations by adding premium features we know our customers demand,’ said Jeff Volpe, president of Global Brand and Emerging Technologies, ViewSonic who introduced the new VA2626wm. ‘ViewSonic further demonstrates its display leadership by offering innovative technology, versatile offerings and outstanding value.’

Interestingly, however, Viewsonic’s press release is rather scant on detail except to say that the VA2626wm is capable of a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200 and boasts 6,000:1 contrast ratio. No mention of response time (a key issue as far as gamers – to whom this display is apparently in part targeted – are concerned).

Viewsonic have, at least, seen fit to advise that their VA2626wm display will become available from July and will retail for around $529.
