Lancerlink have taken the wraps off their up and coming Lancerlink DDV-1080HD Budget HD camcorder which joins the ranks of models such as DXG’s DXG-567V Budget 720p HD Camcorder and Aiptek’s AHD Z500 Plus 1080p Budget HD Camcorder in offering HD quality at a decidedly entry level price point.

Weighing in at 150g the distinctly pocket-friendly, pistol-grip DDV-1080HD sports a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor capable of recording at 1440 x 1080 (1080P) at 30fps or 1280 x 720 (720P) at 60fps in .MOV H.264 file format, a 3” LCD TFT screen, a mere 2x digital zoom and comes with 90MB of internal storage capacity with an integrated SD, SDHC and MMC card reader allowing for extra capacity via memory cards. Unfortunately at the time of writing information concering battery life is notable by only its absence.

Lancerlink’s DDV-1080HD Budget HD Camcorder is stated as retailing for around the €300 price point however there’s no word concerning unit availability at this juncture.
