Sony Update TP1 Media Center PCs with New VGX-TP1DQ/B & VGX-TP1D Models

Sony have announced an update to its TP1 Media center PC with the unveiling of two new versions in the form of the new black VGX-TP1DQ/B and the white VGX-TP1D versions which sport a Blu-ray optical drive paired with 500GB HDD and a DVD Multi drive with a 320GB HDD respectively.
If the numerous improvements to Sony’s original TP1 Media Center PC the most notable is the inclusion of dual Ground Digital TV tuners and improved Giga Pocket Digital Software facilitating easier recording of TV shows in better quality as well as improved browsing of stored video content. Network connectivity has also been overhauled thanks to the new devices employing Vaio Media plus software.

Due to become available in Japan from July 5th, Sony’s new black VGX-TP1DQ/B will retail for around $1900 whilst the white VGX-TP1D will be priced at around $1400.
