
For those of your itching to get their hands on HP’s new, next-gen touchscreen PC you’ll be pleased to know that the beautifully sleek HP TouchSmart IQ504, which features a 22” touchscreen and is based on Intel’s Core 2 Duo Processor T5750, has now officially started to ship.

Apart from boasting the aforementioned 22” HD BrightView LCD touchscreen – which is undoubtedly the star of the show – the HP TouchSmart IQ504, which is based on the an Intel GN956 Express Chipset and sports a 2GHz Core 2 Duo (T5750) Processor, comes with a generous 4GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM, a 320GB 7200rpm STATA HDD, 10/100/1000 BaseT network interface, Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity. Interestingly however, the TouchSmart IQ504 also comes with an integrated graphics chipset (specifically Intel X3100) which many, including ourselves, will find wholly disappointing.

Additional features of interest include a built-in webcam and microphone for out-of-the-box VoiP calls, built-in stereo speakers, a Super Multi DVD burner, wireless keyboard and low profile wireless optical mouse.
Supplied with Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit edition, HP’s TouchSmart IQ504 will set you back around $1250 at the time of writing.
