Hot on the heels of AMD’s ATI Radeon HD 4870 graphic card becoming available Asetek have announced the release of a compatible LCLC liquid cooling solution for the new Radeon HD 4870 which promises to lower the temperature of the HD 4870’s GPU by around 27 degrees and which is sure to appeal to those looking to overclock the new Radeon which is already capable of 1.2 terraflops of processing power in ‘out of the box’ configuration.
‘PC gamers continue to push the performance envelope,’ says Gary Baum, Asetek’s Senior VP of Marketing. ‘Our award-winning, LCLC thermal solution extends overclocking performance providing the maximum gaming and entertainment experience—with no graphics fan noise.’
Available at the time of writing as an OEM option only, Asetek’s LCLC Liquid Cooling Solution for AMD’s AMD ATI Radeon HD is billed as offering a operational lifespan of around 50,000 hours and is purportedly available now – though we were unable to ascertain unit pricing at the time of writing.
