OptiPix SP3200 32” HD Digital Photo Frame billed As World’s Largest Digital Photo Frame

HD Wall Mounted Multimedia Photo Frame

OptiPix SP3200 HD Digital Photo Frame

It was only a matter of time until some manufacturer took the idea of digital photo frames to the logical extreme where by they cease to be mere desktop based items and become full wall hung digital based picture frames and the flagship OptiPix SP3200 is just such a device in offering a whopping 32” widescreen HD TFT display measuring in at an impressive 32”.

Billed as currently being the world’s largest digital photo frame, the OptiPix SP3200 sports a 16:9 aspect ratio TFT display supporting resolutions up to 1366 x 768 and even offers MPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMA and AVI file format support allowing you to watch video clips complete with sound with control being offered either via the frame itself or the convenience of a RF remote control.

OptiPix SP3200 HD Digital Photo Frame Detail

OptiPix SP3200 32” HD Digital Photo Frame Features:

  • RF Remote Control for Easy Operation
  • Large Wide-Screen Hi-Definition LCD Display
  • Automatic Variable Speed Slide Show
  • NO Computer Needed
  • Compatible with All Popular Memory Cards
  • 256 MB of Internal Memory• Built-in Speakers
  • Wall Mountable

Interestingly as can be seen above, as large as the OptiPix SP3200 undoubtedly is it only comes with a paltry 256MB of internal memory which, considering the sheer scope of the device, is certainly disappointing – still, further storage capacity can always be ‘bolted on’ with the use of memory cards though it would have been nice for the product site to have detailed exactly what memory cards work with the device as opposed to offering a mere blanket ‘works with all’ statement. Furthermore, we should also add that it would also be helpful to detail the overall size of the unit as well as its weight (and hanging options).

The OptiPix SP3200 32” HD Digital Photo Frame, which will undoubtedly serve as the focal point in any room, will set you back just shy of $840.

Personally, we can only hope that they produce another version with somewhat updated styling – a brushed aluminium frame perhaps – as (is it me?) the overly traditional frame really does nothing for the device in terms of desirability.

This is just the logical extreme of the complete ludicrousness of this entire genre of products. If you buy one of these things, you deserve to have your credit cards taken away from you for your own good. [Product Page via TFTS] [...]
