JVC have released their NX-PN7 Dual iPod and iPhone clock radio speaker docking station which, according to JVC, lays claim to being ‘the industry’s first dual play system that can play and charge two iPods’ (either iPod DAPs or iPhones) and, apart from offering dual functionality, also includes an integrated AM/FM clock radio with alarm.
Boasting 15 watts of maximum sound output courtesy of 70mm left and right speaker cones (the device comes sans sub woofer which, for us at least, is wholly unforgivable – decent bas reproduction should never be skimped on), JVC’s NX-PN7 comes with a backlit white LCD display as well as multi-colour LED illumination which includes a clever feature that offers unit under lighting to allow at a glance deciphering of whose iPod/iPhone is presently docked in either of the units docks (each iPod being associated with a particular colour for easy identification). Interestingly, however, with reference specifically to using an iPhone with the NX-PN7, JVC has neglected to mention whether inbound calls can still be received with the phone docked or whether the device is placed in Airplane mode – hopefully JVC will offer some clarification in this respect sooner rather than later.
JVC NX-PN7 Key Features:

Measuring in at 318 x 148 x 154mm and weighing 2.6kg, JVC’s NX-PN7 Dual iPod & iPhone Clock Radio Docking Station will set you back just short of a not unreasonable $150.
