Westinghouse Announce D56QX1 56” Full Quad HD LCD Display

Westinghouse have announced that they have updated their Quad HD display which now offers a 56” screen size – as opposed to the 52” previously on offer – capable of displaying 3840 x 2160 QFHD (Quad Full HD) resolution totalling some 8.3 million pixels (by way of comparison 1080p HD definition offers a ‘mere’ 2.1 million pixels, which really puts the D56QX1’s impressive display into stark perspective).
Westinghouse’s 16:9 aspect ratio D56QX1 QFHD 56” display boasts lamp life of 50,000hrs, a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 500 nits brightness, 6.5 ms response time – which, considering the unit’s size, is fairly impressive – as well as 16.7 million colours with viewing angles of 176” both horizontally and vertically.
Measuring in at 52.7″ x 32.7″ x 10.0″ (inclusive of stand) and weighing 108.2 lbs, the D56QX1 is also, ac cording to Westinghouse, compatible with a wide variety of dual-link DVI video cards including ATI and Nvidia.
Those wishing to avail themselves of Westinghouse’s D56QX1 QFHD 56” display should expect to pay around $50,000 at the time of writing.
