JVC Everio 1080i HD Camcorder Series

Following on from their new Everio S GZ-MS100, JVC has today announced yet more Everio camcorders in the form of three new HD HDD based models - namely the GZ-HD40, GZ-HD30 and GZ-HD10 - all of which boast 1080i HD quality recording as well as, somewhat notably in JVC’s case, support for the AVCHD format which, until now, JVC have been adamantly resistant to catering for though its competitors have long since embraced it.

In fact, not only have JVC decided to embrace recording in AVCHD format (at long last) thanks to these trio of new Everios, one of the new models, the GZ-HD10 to be specific, unlike the other two new Everios – which support both AVCHD and MPEG-2 TS formats – is wholly dedicated to AVCHD (which is quite a turn around considering JVC’s somewhat curious previous stance regarding the format but, we suggest, is a move that will be widely welcomed). Moreover, according to JVC’s press release, the three new Everios also all come with a newly designed CMOS sensor (meaning yet another break with tradition, as JVC has traditionally relied upon CCD arrays).

The new Everio camcorders, apart from all supporting 1080i HD quality recording, offer the following:
