Corsair have just begun selling the latest addition to their award winning Voyager range of USB flash memory drives in the form of the Flash Voyager Mini which, apart from offering 4GB of storage capacity in an ultra compact device also sports a water resistant rubberized housing and a cap-less retractable connector that opens with, according to Corsair, a mere ‘flick of the thumb’ (this more than probably not rendering the device wholly inoperable for those who may have been born without the aforementioned digits).

Offering enough storage capacity to store up to 1,240 6MP JPEG images, up to 1,000 128kbps MP3s or up to 100 minutes of MPEG-2 video encoded at 5Mbps, Corsair’s new Flash Voyager Mini, which, like myself, is billed as ‘the perfect synergy of size, looks and function’ was announced by Stephen Schwartz, Associate Product Marketing Manager at Corsair who stated that ‘We [Corsair] think of the Flash Voyager Mini as a summer-proof product. It can be left on the dashboard of your car on a hot summer day or you can spill a drink on it and the data will remain protected’ though I would venture than my wife would probably find some way to break it as she has an uncanny knack of finding weaknesses in just about everything that pertains to be ‘virtually indestructible’.
Corsair’s 4GB Flash Voyager Mini is available now for just shy of a very reasonable $30.
