LG Unveil KC550 Orsay 5MP Camera Cell Phone with Motion Sensor Gaming [LG KC550 Bids To Render Your Point & Shoot Camera Obsolete]

LG have unveiled their up and coming LG KC550 Orsay camera cell phone which, apart from sporting 5 megapixel photo capture capabilities courtesy of its integrated Schneider-Kreuznach lens also includes six games that utilise the KC550’s built-in gyroscopic motion sensor allowing for ‘gesture style’ gaming either on the handset or, thanks to a TV-out connection, on your TV.

Measuring in at 96.9 x 51.4 x 14.3mm and weighing just 100 grams, LG ‘s KC550 Orsay is a slider style GSM 900/1800/1900 (Tri-band) and EDGE handset offering speech to text capabilities, Bluetooth, a built-in media player (complete with headphone port), MMS with video and, of course, the afrementioned 5MP camera offering autofocus, digital–based image stabilisation and LED flash.

Interestingly, which the LG KC550 Orsay built-in display is a somewhat disappointing QVGA 240 x 320 resolution affair, thanks to coming with an integrated TV-out port the device can actually playback videos captured with the via TV sets at a not too shabby 720×480 resolution at 30fps.

No details concerning either the KC550 Orsay’s availability or pricing has been made available at the time of writing, however, we can advise that LG are purportibly billing the KC550 as ‘the cheapest mobile phone with a 5 MP camera’ so it’s reasonable to expect the device to be extremely competitively priced.
Update: It has just come to our attention at Play are offering the KC550 Orsay (unlocked) for pre-order at £170 (which equates to around $334 / €213).
