Norwegian jewellers Thomas Heyerdahl have unveiled their latest creation, following on in the footsteps of previous creations such as their diamond encrusted iPod Shuffle, in the form of the Nokia N8800 Diamond which serves to transform a standard Nokia N8800 Arte into a strictly limited edition handset with serious bling appeal and, accordingly, a somewhat substantial price tag.

Available in a strictly limited edition run of a mere 100 units, with each being provided with engraved numbering on the reverse, the Nokia N8800 Diamond sports no less than 112 diamonds totalling 0.7 carats arranged on the phone’s casing and, whilst we’re not particularly enamoured with such ‘blinged out’ gadgets (in the main, they tend to look overtly brash) we have to say that Heyerdahl have realised the N8800 Diamond beautifully.

Due to retail for around $6000 each on a strictly first come first served bases when they become available in selected Norwegian outlets, the first numbered edition is reserved for sale by auction should you wish to put in your bid.
