
Sanyo have announced their latest camcorder in their highly popular Xacti series in the form of the Xacti DMX- HD1010 HD camcorder which, apart from offering 1080i video capture also comes with slow motion video recording, whereby the Xacti DMX- HD1010 captures video at up to an impressive 300fps, and Sanyo’s Face Chaser technology allowing the DMX- HD1010 to lock on to and track up to twelve faces, adjusting brightness and focus accordingly.
Sporting a 2.7-inch widescreen flip out TFT LCD, Sanyo’s latest Xacti, which offers 10x optical zoom and which can record up to 87 minutes of 1080p HD video using MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 compression, can also capture stills imagery at 4 megapixel resolution, comes with SD/SDHC memory card slot for increase storage capacity and naturally offers built in HDMI connectivity (as well as component, composite and S-video) allowing you to hook up the DMX- HD1010 directly to HDTVs for viewing content directly from the camcorder in full HD.

Due to become available from June 20, though not until July in the US, Sanyo’s Xacti DMX- HD1010 will be offered in both dark silver and black and will retail for around the $800 price point.
