Art Lebedev Optimus Popularis OLED Keyboard

For those of us who cannot quite justify splashing out the best part of $1600 on a keyboard, Art Lebedev’s seemingly more compact Optimus Popularis OLED keyboard, which is already in development, could (and we say ‘could’ advisably) be a somewhat more pocket-friendly alternative to Art Lebedev’s somewhat excessively priced and much hyped Optimus Maximus OLED keyboard.

The Optimus Maximus

Needless to say, being an Art Lebedev product, we wouldn’t advise holding your breath for the Optimus Popularis’s release – Art Lebedev’s product development periods could, at best, be described as being somewhat legendary for their drawn-out nature – and, with feedback concerning the Optimus Maximus, which utilises the same OLED keys, being less than ecstatic concerning its ergonomics (apparently the Optimus Maximus is less than comfortable during prolonged periods of use) we can only hope that the Optimus Popularis proves as pleasing to use as it undoubtedly looks.
