I-O Data Announce Mini Bluetooth 2.0 EDR Keyboard for Cell Phones, PDAs

On a day that has rapidly transpired to be dominated by keyboards (having already featured the distinctive Look@Me Emoticon Keyboard to the Onkyo KM-2W Brushed Aluminium Wireless Keyboard) we now have this mini Bluetooth keyboard from I-O Data, seemingly known as the SPKB/BT, that has been designed specifically for use with Bluetooth compatible cell phones and PDAs.

An ideal solution for those who, like me, find entering text on diminutive keypads and extremely frustrating and cumbersome experience, I-O Gear’s SPKB/BT Bluetooth + EDR compliant 59-key keyboard measures in at just 151.5(W)×92.1(D)×14.0(H)mm, comes with anodized aluminium upper surface (and ABS shell), offers a range of up to 10 meters and is powered by 2 x AAA alkaline batteries offering an endurance of around 2-3 months dependant on usage.

Just released in Japan, I-O Data’s SPKB/BT Mini Bluetooth Keyboard has just been made available for ¥14800 – which equates to around $141 / £71 / €90 at the time of writing – though it’s unclear at this stage whether the device will get a wider, international release (we suspect it will).
