Sony NWD-E020F (E020) Walkman USB Based MP3 Walkman Headed For US Market

Reports surfacing today confirm that Sony’s E020 flash memory based USB Walkman (specifically Sony’s NWD-E020F0), which we featured back in February, is due to hit the US market around mid-June with Sony having just acted to confirm the USD pricing of both the 1GB and 2GB entry-level solid state players.
Due to be priced at $69 and $79 for the 1GB and 2GB models respectively, the E020’s swappable faceplates will also make it to US shores with each costing an around $12.
Interestingly, its also being reported that Sony will be dropping its (extremely annoying) SonicStage software application in US models, opting instead for a ‘drag-and-drop’ solution for the transfer of files to the device, with unprotected AAC, ATRAC, MP3, and WMA files formats being supported.
