As far as remotes go, the new RM-mp1 Multi-Media Remote from AMEX not only cuts a particular fine form with its elegant, black gloss exterior but, in terms of functionality the RM-mp1 has a few tricks up its sleeve in serving both as a Windows Media Centre remote complete with an array of multimedia keys as well as a presentation device with built-in touchpad mouse, integrated laser pointer and wireless USB receiver.

Due to be made available in either black or white, the AMEX RM-mp1 Multi-Media Remote, which can be used to control everything from slideshows to DVDs and music playlists, is an ultra-slim device measuring in at just 104x38x12mm, utilises a 2.4Ghz wireless USB connectivity and comes with integrated lithium polymer battery – though battery endurance is not specified.
