According to reports surfacing in the English press, the budget hotel chain Premier Inn has announced that it plans to offer guests rooms on the Moon within twenty-five years and have, according to reports, apparently already purchased a plot on the Moon in preparation for the construction of their first Moon based hotel.
There is only one slight fly in the ointment, so to speak – that being that they are yet to work out how to transport the necessary construction materials to build the planned 4,000m2 / 43,000ft lunar hotel the Moon’s surface (a fairly vital factor if their plans are to be realised). ‘The challenges are unique and no doubt as we learn more we will adapt and improve our designs,’ said the company’s construction director, Alex Flach.

The Premier Inn are on record as believing that lunar tourism will become big business in around 20 to 30 years what with the first tourist flights into space already set to occur next year.
No word as yet as to whether they’ll offer more than the usual, somewhat stingy two sachets of coffee per room following their guest’s 384,403 km journey.
