Logitech Pure-Fi Mobile Bluetooth Portable Speaker System

Logitech have announced a new, highly portable speaker system known as the Pure-Fi Mobile which offers both Bluetooth and standard line-in connectivity and is aimed squarely at those intent on listening to music either from their iPod or other MP3 player, or multi media cell phones, whilst out and about.

Introduced by Mark Schneider, vice president and general manager of Logitech’s audio business unit, who states that ‘when you’re at a party, at the park, or just hanging out at home, your mobile-phone music will always sound great when you use the Pure-Fi Mobile speaker system’ the device offers a maximum range of around 33ft when synced with a Bluetooth device, though it also comes with a standard line-in port, and sports ‘2-inch high-excursion drivers and dual 2-inch pressure drivers’ which, according to Logitech’s press release, ensure both ‘articulate bass and smooth treble’.

Billed as offering up to 12 hours of endurance based on a full charge, the Pure-Fi Mobile portable speaker can also run off mains power courtesy of an adapter or even via a USB connection though, interestingly, Logitech have omitted to state the device’s output (that said, it’s safe to assume its going to be on the low side).

Due to be made available in both the US and Europe from the beginning of June, Logitech’s Pure-Fi Mobile portable speaker, which can also function as a speakerphoe when hooked up to a cell phone, will retail for around $150 in the US, which equates to around £76 / €96 – though European pricing has not been confirmed at the time of writing.
