IO-DATA DVRP-U8XLE External USB CD/DVD Burner

Portable DVD Burning Solution For Notebooks

IO-DATA DVRP-U8XLE External USB CD DVD Burner

Whilst the price of hard disk drives, whether internal or external, is getting ever cheaper, there are those who may wish to burn data – such as presentations, for example – directly onto optical disks to allow for ease of dissemination, hence the need for highly portable optical disc burners such as IO-DATA’s new DVRP-U8XLE external USB CD/DVD burner.

The DVRP-U8XLE, which sports dimensions of 138 x 143 x 21mm and weighs a mere 380g, offers the ease of USB connectivity, allowing for maximum portability (the device utilises the USB port for power) and the facility to connect the device to notebooks, as well as desktops, as and when required and is capable of burning CD-R and DVD-R optical discs – including double layer DVD discs – at up to x8 write speed or x4 in the case of DVD DL discs.

No word as yet on unit pricing or availability though the product is already listed on IO DATA’s Japanese website so we expect news concerning international availability and regional pricing to follow soon and, needless to say, the moment such information is made available to us we will update this post accordingly.
