Parrot Launch New Designer Digital Photo Frame Collection with Exclusive Andrée Putman Digital Photo Frame

Parrot, who are no strangers to digital photo frames, have announced a new Designer Collection of digital photo frames with the first designer digital frame in the series having been designed by leading French designer Andrée Putman.
Sporting what Parrot refer to as ‘a pure and sober design that skilfully contrasts the black and white tones with a subtle play of transparency’, the Andrée Putman minimalist digital photo frame not only sports decidedly good looks but comes with Bluetooth connectivity – as well as integrated SD card slot – facilitating the wireless transfer of imagery to the frame’s internal memory (though the frame’s storage capacity is undisclosed at the time of writing with the press release merely stating that the frame can store ‘over 400 photos’) and a 15cm 262K colour LCD screen.

‘I would like to pay tribute to Parrot for daring to think that this wonder of technology could be coiled up inside a beautiful wrapping,’ explains Andrée Putman. ‘Storage fans will be the most vulnerable to the charms of this object, which will overcome any problems of arranging photo souvenirs.’
Unfortunately Parrot, in their wisdom, have offered little in the way of specifications concerning this ‘wonder of technology’ apart from that detailed above which could lead some to conclude that this may well be a classic case of style over substance (not that we would suggest that this admittedly beautiful frame may well be, aside from its designer styling, an otherwise wholly mundane device). That said, Parrot have at least confirmed that this designer digital photo frame will not only automatically rotate and resize your photos to ‘stylishly fit the screen’ it will also ‘change the selection to suit your mood’ – though Parrot are again less than forthcoming with respect as to exactly how this digital frame knows what mood you’re in (nanotech-implant, perhaps – or could it be a simple case of user selection?).
Thankfully Parrot have seen fir to let us know that their exclusive Andrée Putman Designer Digital Photo Frame will become available at ‘exclusive concept stores’ across Europe and Asia and will retail for around £250 / €299.
