Buffalo VH-MU01 USB Skype Fusion IP VoiP Phone

Buffalo have announced their new and completely uninspiring VH-MU01 USB handset with integrated noise cancelling that serves as a Skype phone as well as sporting Fusion IP compatibility, for those of you in Japan and, whilst we don’t doubt its functionality, we cannot help but wonder about its (apparent lack of) ergonomics.

Buffalo VH-MU01 USB Skype Fusion IP VoiP Phone Detail

As far as VoiP phones go it has to be said that Buffalo’s new VH-MU01 is hardly the most inspiring of handsets in being a wired affair coming with a mere 50cm of cable length and sporting a design that seems to wholly ignore the somewhat general consensus that the sides of humans heads are (save the odd exception) far from flat. Still, notwithstanding the devices complete lack of ergonomics, for those that are interested, Buffalo’s new VH-MU01 USB Skype and Fusion IP handset offers no display, comes in either white or black and is destined for release in early June ’08.

Alternatively, if you want a VoiP handset that offers everything this device doesn’t (i.e., inspiring design, extended functionality, desirability, an acknowledgement that the human head is generally curved to some degree, etc) you may be interested in Tompson’s utterly gorgeous Symbio Cordless DECT VoiP handset (though its yet to be released).
