
Fujitsu have announced the immediate availability of their LifeBook U810 mini and ultra-portable LifeBook T2010 convertible tablet PC/notebooks featuring integrated access to the AT&T BroadbandConnect High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) network promising ‘the highest speed data wireless GSM WAN connection available in North America’.
Billed as the first notebooks in North America to offer fully a integrated wireless modem certified to access AT&T’s third-generation (3G) High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) BroadbandConnect wireless network, Fujitsu’s new LifeBook U810 Mini and LifeBook T2010 Ultra-Portable Notebook models offering access to AT&T’s BroadbandConnect service offer typical download speeds of between 600 Kbps and 1,400 Kbps whilst typical upload speeds range between 500 Kbps and 800 Kbps resulting, in Fujitsu ‘s words, in the ‘optimal wireless Internet-browsing experience’.

Paul Moore, senior director of mobile product marketing, Fujitsu Computer Systems, announced the immediate availability of the new LifeBook U810 Mini & LifeBook T2010 Ultra-Portable notebooks featuring integral BroadbandConnect wireless network connectivity stating that ‘Fujitsu has integrated HSUPA access into the LifeBook U810 mini and LifeBook T2010 convertible notebooks to enable users to take advantage of flexibility and productivity gains that are gained through unparalleled data connectivity…The greater connection speeds integrated into the highly adaptable and highly reliable Fujitsu solutions allow mobile workers to be far more productive regardless of where their travels take them, including international travel through various AT&T roaming agreements.’
Fujitsu’s press release details the new HSPA Wireless WAN enabled LifeBook U810 Mini as retailing from $999 whilst the HSPA Wireless WAN enabled LifeBook T2010 Ultra-Portable starts at around $1500.
