Hitachi has confirmed that their ultra thin HDTV units, which measure a mere 1.5” in depth, come in screen sizes ranging from 32” to 47” and which caused a considerable commotion at this year’s CES are hitting the US market in a series of staggered releases.

Known as the ‘1.5 Displays’ on account of their extremely slim profiles, Hitachi’s ultra thin HDTVs will be made available in both the Directors ‘X’ Series and UltraVision ‘V’ Series according to the following release schedule:
