Following on from our post last week regarding the impending availability of Windows XP Service Pack 3 we can now report that XP SP3 is in the process of being made available via the Microsoft Download Center and via Windows Update.

Windows XP SP3 purportedly offers over 1000 hotfixes and patches and you can read the full release notes concerning XP SP3 here and, if you cannot route out XP SP3 via the official portals at the point of reading this you may be interested to know that the full, release candidate version of XP SP3 has also been made available elsewhere (though, personally, I’ll hold out until it rolls out via the official release portals).
