LG Confirm LG-KF700 Touchscreen Cell Phone UK Launch

LG have confirmed that their sleek 3G LG-KF700 multimedia touchscreen cell phone is due to drop into the UK market any time soon but have fallen short of offering either a specific date (it was originally supposed to drop in March) or pricing guidance.
LG’s much anticipated 3G LG-KF700, apart from sporting a 3” 256K colour 240 x 480 resolution touchscreen and sleek, gloss appeal, comes with full multimedia capabilities (MP3/WMA/AAC/AAC+/MPEG4), including integrated FM tuner, a 3 megapixel camera with auto focus and flash (supplemented by a secondary camera for 3G video calling), Tri band technology (GSM 900, GSM 1800 & GSM 1900), Bluetooth, Java MIDP 2.0 and, whilst is hardly ground breaking in terms of capabilities, certainly boasts the aesthetic appeal LG have built an enviable reputation for – and so is sure to sell like hot cakes on its release.

One novel feature the LG-KF700 sports, however, is its back mounted shortcut dial which supplements the touchscreen and keypad allowing for extremely quick and intuitive navigation and control of the phone’s applications and multimedia features, which Dr. Skott Ahn, CEO of LG Electronics Mobile, could not be accused of selling short. ‘Our consumers told us that they wanted a phone that had plenty of multimedia features, but doesn’t take a long time fiddling with menus to figure out. We created the LG-KF700 based their insight…Internal research showed that a phone’s multimedia features often lay dormant if they are hard to access. On many phones these features are hidden deep in menus, requiring too much time and effort to find them. The LG-KF700 eliminates these endless menus with its intuitive interface and multiple input methods.’
LG’s LG-KF700 comes in either black or silver and you can rest assured that the moment LG offer more specific details concerning its UK debut we’ll update this post accordingly (we suspect that these details are imminent).
