Energy Sistem Release New Energy 2021 Duo 4GB Portable Media Player [Dual Output PMP with FM Tuner/Recorder]

Energy Sistem (not a typo on our part) have released the latest in their line of PMPs in the form of the new Energy 2021 Duo which, apart from offering all the media file compatibility and functionality one would expect from a PMP these days also comes with dual headphone/output sockets allowing two people to engage with the device – hence the device’s ‘Duo’ status.

Energy Sistem’s Energy 2021 Duo sports a 2.5” ‘high resolution’ display (though the device’s actual resolution appears not to be specified), 4GB of internal storage capacity and offers MPEG4, XviD, MP3, WMA, WAV and JPG file format compatibility as well as offering E-book functionality and integrated voice memo facility and FM radio tuner with presets and recording.

Offering a range of equalizer modes (Normal, Rock, Pop, Classic, Jazz) as well as seven repeat modes and two play modes (normal and shuffle) the New Energy 2021 Duo measures in at 69 x 40 x 12mm, weighs 40g and will retail for around a purported €55, which, considering the device’s capabilities, is far from excessive.

That said, we would have liked to have seen the screen resolution specified somewhat more fully (simply stating that it’s high-resolution is not enough) as well as some idea of battery life/endurance and find it a little odd that these details have been omitted from the product site (certainly at the time of writing).
