Buffalo RUFF2-FHS Secure USB Flash Drive With Fingerprint Reader

Following on from our post concerning Kingston’s DataTraveler BlackBox Ultra Secure USB Flash Drive we have yet another secure USB flash drive due to make an entrance, this time from Buffalo in the form of its new RUFF2-FHS series of secure USB flash drives with integrated fingerprint reader.

Coming in capacities ranging from 512mb to 8GB and featuring five differing capacities in total, Buffalo’s RUFF2-FHS series of secure flash drives supplement biometric protection – which, in the case of the RUFF2-FHS range, purportedly offers less than 0.001% false acceptance and less than 1% invalid rejection rates – with AES 256-bit hardware encryption and PIN lock.

No word on pricing at the time of writing, however, Buffalo’s RUFF2-FHS series of secure flash drives should become available towards the end of the month (April 08).
