Sagem’s best selling ITD58NG and ITD59NG digital set top boxes – currently Europe’s most popular digital set top boxes – have been renamed to ‘Eco’ models following the Energy Saving Trust bestowing them with ‘Energy Saving Recommended’ status.
Sagem’s energy efficient digital set top boxes, which boast a power consumption of less than 5 watts (and less than 2 watts whilst in standby mode), are differentiated by the ITD58NG ECO merely offering ‘now/next’ programme information whilst the ITD59NG ECO sports a full 7 day EPG and retail for £24.99 and £29.99 respectively – so quite why anyone would seriously consider the lower end ITD58NG ECO as an option is beyond us.
