Unfortunately, if you live outside of Korea, the chances of you ever managing to pick up D’Cube’s new, rather swanky D9 PMP is wholly remote (unless via import) which is a shame as D’Cube’s new portable media player is somewhat of a gem both in terms of aesthetics and functionality – and especially price.

Built around a 3.5” TFT LCD display offering 260k colour 320 x 240 resolution, the D9, which is just 11.8mm in thickness (inclusive of fold out back stand) offers MP3, WMA, OGG, AVI, WMV and JPEG files format support and comes complete with integrated T-DMB tuner allowing for viewing and recording of freeview TV whilst on the move.

Supplied in two versions sporting either 2GB or 4GB internal memory capacity which is expandable courtesy of an inbuilt Micro SD/SDHC card slot, the D9 also comes with integrated stereo speakers offering somewhat under powered 18mW per channel sound and has a battery life of up to 8 hours (audio playback) or 6.5 hours (video playback) based on a full 15 hour charge.
The D’Cube D9 PMP $GB version is retailing from around ₩128,000 (around a mere $131 as at the time of writing).
