3DConnexion Unveil New SpaceNavigator Portable 3D Mouse Designed Specifically for Notebook/Laptop Use

3DConnexion have announced a new version of its SpaceNavigator controller aimed specifically at notebook/laptop use whilst, whilst boasting all the features of its older and larger desktop cousin comes in at only half the weight and with a smaller footprint affording ease of use in especially restricted space environments.

Measuring in at a mere 2.68” in diameter at its base, the new SpaceNavigator from 3DConnexion is aimed squarely at those involved in 3D design (the design of the SpaceNavigator allows for the easy manipulation of elements/components in ‘three dimensional’ space) though, interestingly, and no doubt in a bid to broaden its appeal, 3DConnexion have recently announced that the device also sport Secondlife compatibility.

3DConnexion Notebook/Laptop SpaceNavigator Features:
- 6 Degrees of Movement Sensor
- Adjustable Device Speed
- 2 Programmable Keys
- Weight Just 0.55lb
- Windows XP/2000/Vista, UNIX/Linux & Mac OS X (10.4.6+) Compatible
- Carry Case Included
Due to become available at the beginning of May the notebook/laptop version of the SpaceNavigator will retail for a purported price of around $130.
