

Sharp have announced a new line of budget priced LCD HDTVs known as the Aquos D44E series which consists of three LCD HDTV units coming in at 26”, 32” and 37” sizes featuring 1366 x 768 resolution screens offering 720p and 1080i HD quality viewing.
Offering a purported, and not unimpressive 10,000:1 contrast ratio, Sharp’s Aquos D44E series of budget HDTVs come with Quick Shoot technology designed to diminish blurring (ghosting) of fast moving details, a highly impressive 470-500 candelas per m2 brightness (putting may ‘high-end’ HDTV units to shame), 2 x 10w integrated speakers with auto volume control and will be made available in either gloss back or silver-grey finishes.
Sharp’s 27” Aquos LC-26D44 and 32” Aquos LC-32D44 HDTVs are due to be released next month for around £500 and £600 respectively whilst the larger 37” Aquos LC-37D44 model will apparently become available sometime in July for an as yet undisclosed price.
