Xbox 360 Blu-ray Player - The Man From Microsoft, He Say No

Like many tech sites, we’ve tried our utmost to say up to date with the constant, ceaselessly contradictory speculation as to whether Microsoft’s Xbox 360 is going to get a Blu-ray player following the demise of the HD-DVD format – well now we have our answer (which suggests that someone is being somewhat economical with the truth).
Following on our post concerning Sony’s Stan Glasgow’s comments that seemed to indicate that Sony and MS were in talks concerning a Blu-ray player for Microsoft’s HD gaming console, Microsoft’s Group Marketing Manager, Aaron Greenberg, has acted to unequivocally deny that MS and Sony are indeed in talks: “Xbox is not currently in talks with Sony or the Blu-ray Association to integrate Blu-ray into the Xbox experience.”
So who should we believe? Aaron Greenberg or Stan Glasgow? And, more to the point, who’s patently lying?
It’s a tough one to call. Who’s your money on?
