Bell & Ross Instrument Phantom Wrist Watch

Bell & Ross have built an enviable reputation for producing wrist watches which, on account of their ruggedness, are used the world over by pilots and astronauts and their new Instrument Phantom Wrist Watch is certainly a gem with its aircraft instrumentation inspired styling and deliciously ‘stealthy’ all black design.

Surely an ideal watch for pilots of low observable aircraft such as the B2 and (currently being retired) F-117A or just those of us who have a particular penchant for distinctively understated timepieces, the Bell & Ross Instrument Phantom Wrist Watch sports a stainless steel case, offers water resistance to 100m/330ft and comes with a black rubber strap. Apparently it also has a radar cross-section equitable to dust mite – but, on account of the test model being reported as ‘lost’, we should stress that such reports are, as yet, wholly unsubstanciated.

The Bell & Ross Instrument Phantom Wrist Watch, which does not come with lighting to assist with time telling in low light environments (no doubt on account of a light merely serving to give your position away), is due for release in April and will retail for between $4000-$6000 (updated pricing info).

Not quite your style? Perhaps this Project Reveal Wrist Watch might be more to your tastes.

The possibility of a Bell and Ross strap, let alone a watch, costing $50 is about as remote as Angelina Jolie delivering my milk!

I love this watch, this is my absolute favorite. It is so understated. The more I look at it the more I appreciate it.

It does strike me as being a shockingly low price, though the linked website is offering pre-orders and are listing this price.

Perhaps I should amend the post slightly :-)

Updated the pricing info (not sure why the linked site is showing $50 pre-order). Thanks to Dvice for the pricing details.
