DIY Electronic LCD Post-It Note With Integral Trackpad – Ideal For Forgetful Geeks

As far as self assembly projects go this DIY Electronic LCD Post-It Note is a frankly brilliant idea and serves to beg the question why a company hasn’t come up with a similar device that can be wall mounted in (say) kitchens allowing you to leave quick notes for your husband, wife or kids – such as ‘We need milk’, ‘Do your Homework’ or ‘I’ve left and I’m not coming back – expect divorce papers in the post’.
The device itself is hardly a project for those uninitiated with home build electronic devices but, with a little patience and the ability to follow rather concise instructions you too could have an Electronic LCD Post-It Note in your home complete with trackpad to assist with posting the aforementioned memos (simply write out your memo with a finger on the trackpad and then, when no longer required, press a button to clear).

Full instructions as well as a list of the required components (costing circa $175) can be found at PopSci.
