New High Performance 16GB Corsair Voyager GT USB Flash Memory Drive Boasts Impressive Transfer Speeds

16GB Corsair Voyager GT

Corsair has revealed a new 16GB capacity Voyager GT USB flash memory drive that, it claims, ‘provides data transfer rates that are up to 4X faster than standard USB 2.0 drives’ which, considering the fact that drives of this size tend to offer slower transfer speeds than lesser capacity drives, is a bold claim indeed.

According to Corsair’s press release the new 16GB Corsair Voyager GT is capable of transferring 20 assorted office files in less than 2 seconds (compared with a stated 5 seconds for ‘average’ USB flash memory drives) whilst managing to transfer a 1.68GB movie file in just 98 seconds (versus 358 seconds for the unnamed comparison USB2.0 drives).
