Minimal Dual Digital Analogue Alarm Clock Concept by Daniel Jarr

This seemingly untitled alarm clock concept by 26 year old German designer Daniel Jarr beautifully fuses traditional analogue based time telling with modern digital time display in a minimalist and decidedly modern alarm clock that certainly sets our pulses racing.

According to the designer, the clock’s alarm would be set by pressing down on the right hand side of the clock (the main body of the clock pivots slightly on its base) to switch modes with the dial around the analogue clock face being rotated to set the desired alarm time whilst pressing down on the left side of the clock will activate the device’s 10 minute snooze mode. Pressing down on the analogue clock’s frame will act to illuminate the clocks dial in low light situations.
Simple, unfussy and sporting a beautifully clean design, we can only hope that Daniel Jarr’s Minimal Modern Digital Analogue Alarm makes it off the drawing board.
