Sony Announce New Range of DAV-DZ Bravia Home Theatre Systems

Sony have announced a new range of DAV-DZ Bravia home theatre systems in the form of the DAV-DZ260, DAV-DZ560 and DAV-DZ660 with each styled to match the look and feel of Sony’s latest Bravia TVs and offering Bravia sync allowing for seamless control of the systems themselves as well as Bravia TVs with a single remote as well as offering Sony’s Digital Media Port facilitating the easy connection of portable and wireless AV systems.
Sony DAV-DZ Bravia Home Theatre Systems Features:
- New models, each styled to match the look and feel of the latest BRAVIA TVs from Sony
- BRAVIA Sync gives you seamless control of Sony’s Home Theatre systems and BRAVIA televisions with a single remote
- 1080p upscaling makes the most of DVDs on the latest HDMI compatible TVs
- Wireless rear speakers on the range-topping DAV-DZ860W, using Sony’s new S-AIR wireless technology
- One Remote Easy Operation, with access to menu functions of connected products from a single handset.
- Simple BRAVIA Sync set-up: when connected to a BRAVIA TV via HDMI, functions of all BRAVIA Sync components are synchronised.
- One-touch Play: playback and theatre sound setting at the touch of a single button.
- System Audio Control from one handset.
- System Standby: just turn off your TV and the whole system goes into standby mode.

Sony DAV-DZ260
Available in March, the BRAVIA Theatre DAV-DZ260 offers sleek BRAVIA styling along with the facilities above, a total output power of 850W and compact satellite speakers.
It will play DVDs, DVD+/-R/RW discs, CDs, SACDs, DivX and MP3/JPEG files from disc (as well as Windows Media Audio and AAC2 via USB), and has optical and coaxial digital inputs.
HDMI and Scart video outputs are provided, and there’s a front-panel analogue input for portable audio devices and a headphone socket.

Sony DAV-DZ560
Available in May, the DAV-DZ560 uses large standmount/wall-mount speakers for the front left and right channels, with a matching centre speaker designed to complement the styling of the latest BRAVIA TVs and compact rear speakers. In addition it’s ready to be used with Sony’s S-AIR wireless rear speaker system (WAHT-SA1), which will be available as an optional extra.
It has a total output power of 850W, and will play DVDs, DVD+/-R/RW discs, CDs, SACDs, DivX and MP3/JPEG files from disc (plus Windows Media Audio and AAC2 via USB), and has optical and coaxial digital inputs.
HDMI and Scart video outputs are provided, along with a front-panel analogue input for portable audio devices and a headphone socket.

Sony’s BRAVIA Theatre DAV-DZ660, available from May, uses identical large standmount/wall-mount speakers for the four main channels (front left/right and surround left/right), plus a matching centre speaker designed to complement the styling of the latest BRAVIA TVs. It’s also ready to be used with Sony’s S-AIR wireless rear speaker system, which will be available as an optional extra.

Unfortunately its Sony’s range rather than our own (oh how we wish these were ours lol) so we are unable to answer your question.

I have purchased a sony dav-dz660 home cinema but would like rear speakers to be wireless.
I have been told of the sony waht-sa1, is this easy to install.
