Apple Announces New 2GB Shuffle

There are, it would seem, certain news items that one feels wholly obliged to post about when running a gadget site and, whilst in the main we do a dammed good job of avoiding such items (thus missing out on some pretty newsworthy events that, on reflection, we feel perhaps we should have covered) we feel compelled to report the fact that Apple have not only announced a new 2GB Shuffle but have also slashed (perhaps too stronger term) the price of its 1GB digital audio player in the process.

Yes in a shock TFTS exclusive (well it would be if 100s of sites hadn’t already posted about it in an altogether predictable domino effect of machine gun posting that we’re now submitting to ourselves on account of… just wanting to belong) we can reveal that the 2GB Shuffle, which is available in the same colour range as its 1GB sibling (as well as a new red version) can be yours for a mere $69 – which, all said and done, is not exactly cheap for a player sans display – whilst the 1GB Shuffle can now be had for around $49.
