Cool Motz MusicBox Core Mini Wooden Acorn 1GB MP3 Player

Whilst we’ve featured a plethora of MP3 players of all shapes and sizes here on TFTS this Acorn MP3 player certainly has the distinction of not only being one of the smallest we’ve ever featured but also one of the most novel – but don’t let its diminutive size fool you, as this baby might be small but it still manages to pack in a not inconsiderable 1GB of internal storage capacity.

Measuring in at a mere 38mm x 30 mm, the Acorn MP3 Speaker, as you might expect for a player of this size, boasts only the most rudimentary of features courtesy of a joystick style controller such as volume up/down, skip track forward/back – and that’s pretty much it. And, whilst it would be all too easy to dismiss it on this basis alone as a mere ‘trinket’ we actually think its pretty cool (and the fact that it accepts the OGG file format as well as MP3 and WMA file formats is certainly warmly welcomed).

Powered by a li-polymer battery that recharges from the devices USB connection (or from a power adapter), the Acorn MP3 player seemingly has an endurance of up to eight hours on a single charge and is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista based PCs only (no mention of Mac compatibility – which surprises us somewhat).

The Motz MusicBox Core Acorn 1GB MP3 Player retails for 56000 Korean Won, which equates to around $59 / £30 / €41 at the time of writing.
