Mustek PF-E700 Dual Screen Multi-Media Digital Photo Frame Atomic Alarm Clock Announced

Another day, another digital photo frame (or so it seems) but what distinguishes the newly announced Mustek PF-E700 from the hoards of digital photo frames currently available – and hence makes it worth mentioning here – is the fact that Mustek’s PF-E700 takes a somewhat differing approach to competing digital picture frames in offering a secondary display unit for the purposes of displaying ancillary information.
Serving not just as a ‘traditional’ digital photo frame, Mustek’s PF-E700 also functions as an alarm clock (complete with snooze), an MP3, AVI and MPEG media player and an indoor temperature gauge – with the resulting additional information such as time, date, temperature being displayed on a secondary, lower backlit LCD screen, thus ensuring that these details do not interfere with the main seven inch TFT LCD photo display screen.
Mustek’s PF-E700 Dual Screen MP3 Digital Photo Frame Alarm Clock, which accepts SD, SDHC, MMC, Memory Stick Pro Duo and Compact Flash memory cards, is due to begin shipping around April for around $150 though, personally, whilst we like the idea of a secondary screen (we also saw dual screens in this smaller Desktop Mini Digital Photo Frame), this Digital Photo Frame and Atomic Clock Weather Station Combo still gets our vote.
As a footnote, should anyone from Mustek be reading this, please try a little harder with you product imagery as the quality (and cropping) of single image provided concerning this product is shameful.
