Arsene Clock Concept – The Minimalist Analogue Inspired Digital Wall Clock

It’s been a while since we’ve featured a clock here on TFTS but this concept by American designer Montay François has really got our pulses racing with its minimalist, highly stylised design and beautiful fusion of digital and analogue inspired time telling.
Receiving an honorable mention in the DesignBoom ‘The Skin of Corain’ competition, the designer describes the Arsene clock as capable of being either wall mounted or free standing.
According to Montay François, the Arsene clock is ‘a clock that can be both wall mounted or free standing. It has back lighted indicators to play with the Corian’s translucency. Also it lets perceive the fine grain of the material throughout the enlightened zones.’
Agreed, the description could do with a little touching up (and that’s after we’ve corrected a blindingly obvious error) but the clock itself is nothing short of truly magnificent.
