Sony Announces New DSLR-A200 10.2 MP Digital SLR Camera

Sony chose this year’s CES event to formerly announce the latest model in their Alpha range of digital SLR cameras, the DSLR-A200, which serves to build upon the solid reputation of their DSLR-A100 digital SLR camera with enhanced features such as a larger 2.7” LCD screen housed within a more compact body and an improved auto focus speed that’s 1.7 times faster than its predecessor.
Other features of note are improved predictive control performance, enhanced Super Steady Shot image stabilisation, quieter camera operation, an auto pop up style integral flash and the inclusion of a battery charge indicator that offers you a valuable, at a glance insight into the camera’s battery life.

Based around Sony’s Bionz Image Processor, the 10.2 mega pixel DSLR-A200 camera will become available in February in two kits – the DSLR-A200K camera with DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 standard zoom lens or the DSLR-A200W camera both DT 18-70mm and a 75-300mm lens with each model expected to retail for around $700 and $900 respectively.
