Gear4 BlackBox Bluetooth Speaker System Takes Our Breath Away

Having just posted about the LaCie External Hard Disck Drive that we described as being positively monolithic we felt compelled to follow up with this equally minimalist Gear4 BlackBox Bluetooth stereo system on account of the fact that each would undoubtedly compliment the other beautifully – let it not be said that there isn’t at least some semblance of cohesiveness on TFTS.

The BlackBox, which, like the LaCie HDD, is finished in alluring gloss black, comes complete with a hidden LED display that springs to life with your music (we assume it’s some kind of spectrum analyser, though this is wholly unclear from the product description) as well as touch screen controls and offers a 2 way speaker set offering 24 watts combined output for streaming music directly via Bluetooth from a remote device such as a PC, bluetooth enabled MP3 player or, with the relevant firmware update for your particular model, even your cell phone.

The Gear4 BlackBox Bluetooth Speaker System retails for around $99 (approximately £48 / €67 at the time of writing) and we love it so much it hurts (to the point where we’re flexing our flexible friend as we write this).
