Timberland Dual Analogue Display Wrist Watch

Whilst, on first impressions, it would be true to say that this dual analogue display wrist watch from Timberland will by no means occasion complete cardiovascular meltdown on account of its beauty, the more we look at it the more we find ourselves warming to its functional ruggedness – and, whilst we would rather not fall back on gender stereotyping to labour a point, surely few (including those of the fairer sex) would take particular umbrage to us defining this particular watch as being decidedly masculine in feel.

You can forget LEDs and OLEDs or any similar aesthetic embellishments, this watch exists to serve – and serve it undoubtedly will whilst in even the harshest of environments. That said, wearing one of these to the office on a daily basis could, we suppose, be all too easily compared to those who feel compelled to drive 4 x 4 vehicles the size of small planets during their daily commute into the city (whilst bemoaning the levels of traffic congestion and stopping to wipe off any spec of mud or dust that happens to taint their metallic paintwork on the way).

This is a watch for the outdoors, and no mistake – to the point at which we wouldn’t be surprised if it came with some sort of sensing device that triggers the watch to implode on sensing even the faintest hint of an air-conditioned room.

The watch is manufactured from 57mm brushed stainless steel complimented by a rubber coated band and, apart from offering dual time zones thanks to its two independent analogue watch faces also comes complete with a separate digital display, a compass, a barometer, an altimeter, a thermometer, a chronograph as well as an alarm. In fact about the only thing this watch won’t do is to convert at the click of a button, transformer style, into a SAR helicopter that could serve to rescue you from the rock face on which you’re presently trapped on account of rashly taking up a little sheer rock face climbing two days after taking delivery of this watch in a bid to feel worthy of wearing it in the first place.

Oh well, that’ll teach you.

The Timberland Dual Analogue Display Wrist Watch is available in black and pink (ok, just black actually) and retails for $345.
