Buffalo MiniStation TurboUSB Poratble HHD

If you use your computer for anything other than a little casual gaming and surfing, and especially if you use it for storage space devouring applications such as video post production, then you’ve doubtless already had to resort to fitting additional hard disk drives as you watch those gigabytes being eaten up at a ferocious pace – but, if all those internal drive bays are now occupied, help is at hand in the form of Buffalo’s new MiniStation TurboUSB Portable HDD boasting an astounding 320GB of capacity.

Due to become available in December, Buffalo’s new MiniStation Portable HDD utilises the company’s TurboUSB technology to ensure that file transfer speeds, whilst being over a USB connection, are far from leisurely – in fact Buffalo’s TurboUSB technology offers claimed increased speeds of up to 64% greater throughput than standard USB 2.0 transfer speeds offered by comparable USB based HDDs.

Based on a 5400rpm drive, the MiniStation TurboUSB Portable HDD not only offers blisteringly fast transfers to what is the world’s first ever external 320GB drive but it also comes with anti-shock resistance and 256bit AES encryption capabilities as well as full auto backup functionality – resulting a fearsome weapon in your fight for increased storage capacity all in a compact device that offers true portability.

The Buffalo MiniStation TurboUSB Portable HDD, which is compatible with all Windows and Mac based OS systems (including Apple’s new Leopard OS), will retail for around a very reasonable £155 (approximately $319).
