MiShare Ipod 2 iPod Linux Powered Gadget Facilitates One Touch Playlist and File Sharing

Whilst information concerning this MiShare gadget is a little on the sparse side at the time of writing we don’t doubt that it could prove to be extremely popular with those looking to expand their music collections at the mere touch of a button thanks to a little on the fly iPod husbandry.
Running a lightweight version of Linux, the Mishare works by utilising open source software to access and open the database files on your iPod thus allowing for a distinctly non-fussy means of transferring music, picture and video files from one iPod to another either on the basis of transferring the last accessed file or all files marked on your playlist.

It’s undoubtedly a great idea that is certain to be lapped up should the MiShare ever see it into production (which, apparently, it already has in China) though we suspect that Apple will be watching developments very closely with an especially critical eye.
Will we see a wider release (assuming that the rumours as to its availability in China are correct)? Your guess is as good as ours but, knowing how proactive Apple can be concerning their products and their built-in limitations (we specifically refer to Apple’s insistence in limiting each iPod to a single library at a time), we cannot help but envisage a rocky path ahead.
If the MiShare does see the light of day, however, expect to pay around $100.
