TwinMOS Mirror Finished USB Flash Drive

As far as USB flash drives go, they have to be either decidedly wacky or especially flash (excuse the pun) to be featured here on TFTS and, whilst this new USB flash drive announced by the Korean company TwinMOS, known as the Mobile Disk P1, certainly falls into this latter category, its not as if we don’t have reservations.

Coming with a fetching mirrored finish, the TwinMOS Mobile Disk P1 offers 4GB of storage capacity, high speed USB 2.0 data transfer rates and will function with Windows XP/2000/Vista, Mac 10.1+ and Linux 2.4+ which is all good, but its not so much the specification with which we have an issue (such as it is) as opposed to the inclusion of an array of six LEDs on the devices outer shell.

No, we’ve not suddenly decided that LEDs are out of favour, but why (oh why) are these multi-coloured LEDs? Perhaps it’s just us, but multi-coloured LEDs really ought not to feature on anything other than a Christmas Tree (ours are all ice blue, by the way) as they can, and so frequently do, look rather cheap. No, we are not fans of multi-coloured LEDs arrays of any shape or form as they always strike us as looking tatty and, whilst we would like to make an exception in this particular case, we are wholly unable to.

A tonal variation of a single colour, yes, but who really wants to own a USB flash drive that looks like a cheap fairground ride (with or without mirrored finishing)?
