You Personal Home Office Desktop Bar – The Avanti MBD5L Mini Pub Beer Dispenser

DeskTop Beer Tap

When it comes to gadgets for your home office we can think of nothing better than this mini Pony Beer Kegerator desktop pub gadget which will remove the requirement to leave your home office for another yet another can – thereby tipping off the wife as to the quantity you’re drinking, at least until you order a replacement keg – by offering you your very own chilled beer supply on tap (if this isn’t a slice of heaven, tell me what is).

Powered by either an AC or a DC adapter, the Avanti MBD5L Mini Pub accepts any standard 5 litre keg which it will subsequently cool to your tastes whilst offering an up to the minute snap shot of the present cooling settings via an inbuilt digital display.

The Avanti MBD5L Mini Pub’s full features are as follows:

  • Color: Stainless Steel
  • Ideal for Use in the Home, Boat or RV
  • Uses All Standard 5-Liter Mini Beer Kegs (Not Included)
  • Digital Display for Temperature Settings (°C/°F)
  • CO2 Pressure Regulator
  • Three 16-Gram CO2 Cartridges Included (Enough to Dispense 3 or More 5-L Kegs)
  • Tapping and Cleaning Kits Included
  • Lightweight for Easy Portability
  • Thermoelectric Technology
  • Soft Interior Lighting with On/Off Switch
  • Can Accommodate a Larger (340-Gram) CO2 Cylinder (Enough to Dispense Up to 20 Kegs)
  • UL Listed AC and DC Power Adapters Included
  • Instructional DVD

Personally, if given the choice between equipping out home office with a decent fax machine or this personal beer on tap device we know which we would choose.

The Avanti MBD5L Mini Pub, which comes complete with tapping and cleaning kits as well as three 16 gram CO2 cartridges which will dispense a total of three of more 5 kegs, retails for $227.05.

Needless to say, if there are any review items going spare we would most certainly welcome one here at TFTS Towers.

    1. Hi Andrew, is there an option to be able to read the full feed?

    2. Hi Veri,

I am presently seeing if limiting the feed will stop a series of sites from ‘re-publishing’ (a nice way of putting it) my content as their own without link backs or credit (I’m only finding them as they are also hotlinking my imagery directly from my server thus making me pay for the bandwidth).

Hopefully this will ‘prompt’ these people to move on someplace else at which point the full feed will be back (no doubt to be stolen again).

Run away from this thing – company is terrible.

I was given the mini pub as a gift. The third time i tried to hook up a Heineken mini keg, the attachment broke. Ok. It happens. It’s plastic after all.

Phone call to support sounded like a bad comedy show. I won’t run through the entire skit (although at one point i burst out in a belly laugh, it got so silly). Basic jist is that, while they are happy to sell the minipub and have it shipped to Canada – they won’t ship any replacement parts to Canada.

      What?

Yep. It’s $3.00 in postage to ship the piece i need. And I’ll pay for it. But they don’t seem to have the organizational good sense to buy a bloody stamp and put an address on a package.

Bottom line: The product breaks. Support is silly. Stay away.

Thanks for your insight and for sharing your (extremely poor) experience of their customer support.
